Sh. Rajiv Yadav

Sh. Rajiv Yadav did his schooling in Civil Engineering from premier Indian Institutes of Technology at Roorkee and Delhi. He has Joined Indian Administrative Service, the elite management cadre of Government of India in 1981. He has Served in the north eastern state of Assam in various important assignments including Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari District, Head of the Department position in Rural Development, and Non Conventional Energy Department. He has also served on deputation to Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in the Industrial Development, Ground Water & Minor Irrigation and Rural Development and Cooperation and Higher Education departments as Special Secretary to the Government. He has held senior positions in Government of India at New Delhi in the Ministries of Commerce & Industry looking after Trade promotion activities, as Member, National Highway Authority of India in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, and Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, thus covering infrastructure & Industry Sectors. On becoming Secretary to Government of India, he was assigned the duties of Secretary (Sports) at the time of participation of India in Rio Olympics 2016 and Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs subsequently. Currently, he is Chairman of Brahmaputra Board, Government of India. He has been Observer of the Election Commission of India in the states of Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, and Kerala for Assembly and Parliamentary elections. He has travelled extensively in India and abroad, covering all states of India and 44 countries in all continents. His areas of interest include energy, water resources, road transport & highways and Renewable Energy Development. He is keenly into Sustainable Development covering all aspect of human existence and life. He is associated with an NGO SUVIKAS which is engaged in the field of sustainable development.
